GROTON, CT — The U.S. Coast Guard found a missing Groton boater dead in Long Island Sound Saturday morning. Matthew Lyon was found dead around 10 a.m., according to the U.S. Coast Guard Long Island Sector. The Coast Guard and about 15 local first responder units searched for Lyon Friday after he was reported missing in the afternoon. He departed from Groton Elks Lodge and Marina around 2 p.m.
