Job Purpose : As a carpet cleaning technician, you will be responsible for driving to the clients location, assessing the needs of the customer, applying stain or cleaning treatments, and ensuring all work is completed to high standards. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: - Meeting with clients to discuss their cleaning needs. - Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned. - Prepare carpets and floors for cleaning by vacuuming and or sweeping, moving and blocking furniture as needed. - Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors. - Cleaning carpets and floors using machine and hand-washing techniques. - Drying carpets using air movers. - Re-setting the furniture as needed. - Maintain equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. - Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. - Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services. - Other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Requirements: • Possess valid DL and vehicle • Be able to pass Motor Vehicle Request, so our insurance can place you on our work policy during business hours: No driver can have any of the following in the last 3 years: o More than 3 moving violations or two accidents o No suspension or revocation of DL o No single violation involving reckless driving, DUI, racing or fleeing an officer or accident. • Ability to be punctual and have regular attendance. • Ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours; squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, etc. • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. • Be able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as being able to work independently. • Positive, upbeat personality, and friendly, with superior interpersonal skills. • Willingness to maintain confidentiality of clients. Compensation: • $16/hr for four month trial period • After trial period: participation on shareholder dividends, patronage. o Patronage is the distribution of cooperative savings to the shareholders in proportion to their activity in the cooperative. • Typical annual earnings range from $50,000 - $60,000 Benefits: • Paid Sick Leave after 90 days • Paid Time Off after 1 year, increases annually • MEC Health Insurance after 60 days • AFLAC • CalSavers Retirement Start/Shift: • Start ASAP • Shift: Mon-Fri, starting at 830a
