The water is safe to drink. Customers may experience a reduction in water pressure and slight discoloration which would be temporary, we advise not to wash your laundry if discoloration is present. The volume and velocity of the flushing may cause a noise or vibration in your pipes. If customers experience the above issues please run your cold water only from an outside faucet if available or a bathtub or sink something without an aerator for about five minutes or until clear before using. If the problem persists please call the Water Department Office 201-825-3400 ext. 234 or 237, hours 8:30am – 4:30pm. If there is an emergency after hours please contact Ramsey Police at 201-327-2400 and they will contact Water Department personnel.
