MORRISTOWN, NJ — You may have know him as Shallow Hal, a rock 'n' roll teacher and a kung fu panda. Jack Black took on a new, simpler role recently: a diner in a Morristown restaurant.
Black ate lunch with family and friends Friday at 1776 by David Burke featuring TopGolf Swing Suite. The actor, comedian and musician even took some pictures with staff.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame inductee is no stranger to the Garden State. Some of "School of Rock" was shot in a house in Franklin Lakes. "Be Kind Rewind" tells the story of a VHS rental-store owner in Passaic.
1776 by David Burke opened last fall by the Morristown Green, featuring cuisine from its namesake celebrity chef and an entertainment space with virtual simulations of golf, baseball pitching, zombie dodgeball and more games.
