Description
Exercise Physiologists from the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Northern Colorado are recruiting participants for a research study and we need your help! Our goal is to evaluate how supplementing with cannabidiol (CBD) affects parameters including immune function, liver health, cognition, physical activity, and sleep quality amongst others. CBD is advertised as assisting with anxiety, depression, sleep quality, exercise recovery, immune function, etc., however the credibility of these claims requires validation. In a time requiring attention and effort to your quality of life, your participation is highly valued in an effort to provide further evidence for CBD use. Your participation includes 5 in-person visits, each being about 40 minutes of your time, outlined below: Visit 1: A fasted, non-caffeinated blood draw, a body composition analysis, and wrist actigraphy physical activity and sleep tracking Visit 2: A Power Cycle test and Sustained Attention to Response Task (SART) cognitive assessment Visit 3: Wrist actigraphy physical activity and sleep tracking Visit 4: A fasted, non-caffeinated blood draw, a body composition analysis, and wrist actigraphy physical activity and sleep tracking Visit 5: A Power Cycle test and Sustained Attention to Response Task (SART) cognitive assessment These assessments total to about a $500 value entirely provided by us, as well as a $200 Visa gift card awarded for your participation at the end of your last visit.
