Press release from the City of Piedmont: April 8, 2022 The Draft Housing Element, a chapter of the General Plan, considers new housing programs, such as new land uses, housing types, and building types; modified heights and residential densities; code changes; subsidies; and incentives, in order to meet the state-mandated target of accommodating 587 new housing units by 2031 and the City's goal to affirmatively further fair housing in Piedmont. The Draft Housing Element will be the subject of a Housing Advisory Committee meeting on April 19, 2022, and a Planning Commission public hearing on May 12, 2022. Both meetings begin at 5:30 pm.
