Natural Tunnel State Park, Flag Rock and High Knob Sunset Join me, East Tennessee Ambassador Danielle, on this gorgeous hike in and around Natural Tunnel State Park in Virginia, Flag Rock and then a trek up to High Knob Tower. We will hang at high knob for the sunset then head home! A few of us can carpool if you wish to take less cars. This will be pretty much an all afternoon adventure so plan accordingly with a decent amount of drive time. Be prepared for about 2-3 hours of driving but I promise you it is worth it! Adventure days are the best days!! It’s easy to find the trail head once you get there and is well marked. What you will need: Water (1 liter minimum) snacks, lunch, hiking poles if preferred, proper shoes and hiking clothes. Dogs welcome if kept on a leash and well behaved. Dogs must be cleaned up after.
