AMHERST, NH — After voters during the annual town election rejected $83 million in middle and elementary school renovations as well as a $2.2 million solar installation project, the town's school district is hosting public listening sessions.
Three times on Wednesday, SAU 39 will host meetings to get feedback from the public about why the warrant article failed. There is also an online survey linked here.
A Zoom session will be held from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.
Another session will be held from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. at the Amherst Town Library, in the Johnson Room downstairs.
And a third hearing will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wilkins School.
The community listening sessions are being held in partnership with DEW Construction. Community members will be asked to share their feedback, ideas, and questions to help guide the school board with the future of long-term facility planning.
The survey will be open until April 27.
