CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland police are asking for the public's help with finding the drivers of two vehicles that are wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run.
Police said they believe the vehicles were racing on Sunday when one struck a pedestrian around 2:25 a.m. on Superior Avenue.
A 36-year-old woman — whose name has not been revealed by police — was struck and killed while she was walking within the traffic lanes on Superior Avenue, police said.
According to police reports, the unidentified vehicles appeared to be racing eastbound when they collided in a "same-direction sideswipe." One of the vehicles struck the woman, who was walking from south to north.
Both vehicles failed to stop after the collision, police said.
