BEVERLY HILLS, CA — As the Beverly Hills municipal election race heats up, Mayor Lili Bosse told Beverly Hills View she won't be endorsing any candidates. Come June 7, 11 candidates will vie for three open Beverly Hills City Council spots. Three incumbents will fight to keep their spot on the council: Bob Wunderlich, Lester Friedman and John Mirisch. "From my perspective, if I were to endorse anybody then it's already creating a division. I really truly want this to be decided by the voters I believe there'll be ample opportunity for the voters to decide who represents them," Bosse told Beverly Hills View. Campaigning for the municipal election kicked off on March 27 and lawn signs went up this week. Eight of the aspirational council members squared off on March 30 at their first forum hosted by the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, the Beverly Hills Courier reported. "I can work with anybody and everybody," Bosse told the Beverly Hills View. She added: "I respect anyone who runs for office because it's hard, and especially if you're doing it because you're really trying to represent the community. For me, I have no problem working with anyone and I think I've shown that." Bosse was sworn in to her third term as Beverly Hills Mayor on March 5. Three candidates also launched their campaigns for the June 7 city treasurer election. Visit the city's website to check out all the candidates for Beverly Hills City Council and Treasurer.
