High: 68 Low: 44. Here are the top three stories today in Grand Rapids: The John Ball Zoo will be constructing a new habitat for pygmy hippos. The habitat will be paid for by the zoo's Time to Soar Public Capital Campaign which has raised $18.5 million. The pygmy hippo exhibit is the final stage of the Capital Campaign along with the Clean Water project. (GR|MAG)The Grand Rapids Police Department will reportedly release unedited footage today that apparently shows a police officer shooting and killing 26-year-old Patrick Lyoya. The footage will include nine video files and will be released during a 3:00 p.m. press conference. Chief Eric Winstrom will reportedly provide additional context to the footage during the press conference. (WOODTV.com)Highland Park along Grand Avenue NE will be getting two outdoor climbing structures. The 12-foot tall structures will be surrounded by soft padding to cushion falls. The climbing structures cost $200,000 with money coming from the city and through private fundraising.
