ROCKVILLE, MD — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at Montgomery County's adoption center. The facility houses dozens of cats, dogs, and other adorable critters. And all of them need a furever home. Here, we've rounded up a list of five adoptable pets for a series called "Patch's Adoptable Pets of the Week." This week, we're featuring Storm, Mimi, Dora, Pina Colada, and Bloo. Due to COVID-19, the facility is open for adoptions by appointment only. Click here for instructions on how appointments work. Shelter staff made the following comments about this animal: Bloo the turtle is a 1-year-old gentleman. He is currently living with some other turtles, but he would be happy to live alone too! He's pretty bold and doesn't like to hide in his shell often, even when being handled. He is a big fella and would love a large enclosure to spend his days and explore in.
