May is National Stroke Awareness Month. Stroke is the #4 cause of death in America and in developed nations around the world.
A presentation designed to help you protect yourself and others from stroke will be provided at the Waukee Family YMCA (210 N. Warrior Lane) on Wednesday, May 11, at 9:30 a.m.
You'll learn:
- the warning signs of stroke;
- ways to reduce your risk of stroke; and
- how stroke can affect the brain
Join YMCA members and visitors to see this presentation provided by a stroke survivor, and Y employee. Copies of her memoir ~ "Praise God for Tattered Dreams" ~ will be available for purchase.
