Description
GREENWICH, CT — The exit 4 off-ramp on Interstate 95 in Greenwich is scheduled to close for over two days next week, according to the state Department of Transportation. The closure is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 30, at 9 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. on Friday, July 3.
According to the DOT, the closure is necessary to accommodate work by Eversource Energy to restore the ramp and roadway's condition. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Drivers will be detoured to exit 3 southbound to Arch Street, where they can exit and get back on I-95 northbound, then follow the interstate to exit 4, according to the DOT.
"Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions," DOT officials said in the announcement.
Further information regarding the closure and detour can be found on the DOT website.
