Description
GREENWICH, CT — All parking fees will resume in Greenwich beginning Monday, July 6, at 9 a.m. following a unanimous vote of approval this week by the Board of Selectmen. In a statement released Friday, Deputy Chief of Police Mark Marino said metered locations are enforced between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
During these timeframes, parking on Greenwich Avenue and other locations, as posted, is limited to two-hour sessions, Marino said. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Those needing to park longer are encouraged to use one of the many long-term 12 hour parking lots situated throughout the downtown area. Parking in all town-operated parking lots and metered spaces is free on Sundays and town holidays, unless posted otherwise, Marino said.
The town had stopped collecting parking fees in March in light of the coronavirus.
Anyone seeking further information is asked to contact the town's parking services department at 203-618-3060.
