SUMMARY: Operate washing and drying machines to wash, dry, and fold the linens, blankets, and similar items for Hotel/Guest use. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Unload and sort soiled linen. Load machines with the proper amount of soiled linen. • Unload washers and load dryers. • Sort and fold clean linen. • Oversee the proper operation of the washers and dryers. • Keep laundry room clean and orderly. • Complete other duties as assigned to include cross training. • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs. Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet. Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down. Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs. Repetitive motions of bending, stooping, and twisting. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise. Must adhere to the Hotel’s safety standards and procedures; hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred. • Must pass criminal background check. • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 within first 60 days of employment.
