The facilities manager is responsible for ensuring the success of both the warehouse and the office through management and maintenance of BEST’s inventory, facilities infrastructure, and facilities staff. The facilities manager is expected to learn all of BEST’s processes and procedures, promote innovation within the facilities department through revision and creation of processes and procedures, and continually strive to improve all aspects of the department.
Experience:
Looking for candidates who have at least two years management experience, does not need to be warehouse-related
Skills:
Familiarity with Word and Excel (or similar software)

Expectations for the facilities manager include:
Proper inventory control and management, including:
Up-to-date counts on all inventory items
Up-to-date pricing on all inventory items
Assessment of inventory counts, and adjustments to the counts depending on usage of different parts by the team
Performance of either quarterly or monthly audits of all inventory materials
Understanding and implementation of first-in, first-out inventory management and aging control
Ordering parts and materials as dictated by minimum and maximum levels
Ability to learn, and later utilize, our inventory and field management software to fulfill all required processes
Train, hire, and manage facilities associates to complete all necessary daily tasks
Communication between all relevant departments to make dynamic adjustments to inventory levels, whether in the warehouse or on the vehicles
