VERY STRESSED and STRUGGLING IN KENNEL-- SET TO BE EUTHANIZED (4/19, 8 am) Adopter/Foster needed ASAP! Read entire post. I’m set to be euthanized April 19th 8 am. Why am I E-listed? STRESS! from long periods of kennel confinement!! It is so sad. I'm panting, hyper-salivating, and licking the kennel walls. Yes; "licking the walls"! Now, this is disturbing! It is inhumane to keep me here in this condition!! Will you help save my life? I am such a love bug! I’m a 3-year-old, neutered, white and brown American Pitbull Terrier (50.4 lbs.). When I came to the shelter as a stray, I was thirsty and so dirty that I was given a bath. I handled it well and loved the cuddles I got while being dried off! Volunteers absolutely love me!! They say I am easy to take out and return to my kennel and easy to walk. I like being close and will lean in for pets and give kisses. I “sit” for treats and take them gently. And I enjoy belly rubs and playing fetch. I was coping with living in this noisy, stressful shelter for 2 months, but now shelter life is "wearing" on me!! I need to get out and into a home ASAP!! The shelter recommends that I meet the entire family before leaving and that my new family goes slow with me, giving me time to de-stress. Going on walks and having play time will help me unwind.
