Havas Street is looking to hire an Area Manager to represent Stratus Group within their designated area. You are a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who can grow distribution, volume, and in-store presence of all authorized Stratus Group brands within your assigned area. This position will aid the sales team and be accountable for ensuring optimal in-store conditions for Stratus Group brands, building account-level relationships, and deploying P.O.S. assets. Responsible for maintaining a professional working relationship with both the retailer and the Stratus Group sales team while driving sales in accounts through merchandising and in-store execution. JOB TYPE: Full-time (40 Hours/Week). Looking to hire ASAP through December 31, 2022. Opportunity to be extended based on performance and market need. LOCATION: Chicago, IL PAY: $50,000 – Annual Salary | W2 Employee ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Mileage Reimbursement @ $0.585/Mile. $75 Per Month Cellphone Allowance. Health Benefits Offered After 60 Days. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  • Visit 12 to 15 stores per day; Routed via sales app on smartphone • Service and merchandise shelves, cold boxes, and displays in all assigned accounts • Ensure all authorized SKUs are present on the shelf and placed according to the plan-o-gram • Check that pricing is present on the shelf and that it is correct • Work back stock to the shelves and displays • Rotate all products for freshness • Complete required pre and post account visit surveys using company app • Use P.O.S effectively to positively impact brand presence in assigned accounts • Establish and maintain rapport with account clerks and managers • Engage in opportunistic sales to correct in-stores issues and gain space for displays to support ad activity • Aid sales team with store shelf resets to improve brand position and space • Communicate and work collaboratively with the sales team • Provide feedback to management on market issues, opportunities, and competitive activity • Project a professional appearance • Work with a sense of urgency and high standard of excellence • Maintain satisfactory attendance • Adhere to Company policies and procedures • Practice safe work and driving habits QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong technical skills with smartphone technology • Strong observatory and analytical skills in assessing product inventory • Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by an ability to set and manage multiple priorities • Exceptional time management skills and punctuality • Must have a valid Drivers’ License with clean record • Must be 18+ years old • Reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes with at least the minimum insurance coverage necessary • Must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis • Must have a smartphone • Prior merchandising or sales experience preferred • High school diploma or G.E.D. required • Fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage • Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment.
