Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Opens facility - moves trucks off campus. Reads dispatch to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Loads needed equipment and parts on truck to take to job. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers to receive inventory. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Assists technicians in the loading and unloading of trucks Uses computer to enter records. Strips water heaters - labels recycled parts and turns them over to receiver - deposits brass and copper recycling in appropriate bin Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to job or to pick up items from several locations. Takes trash and recycling to appropriate depository location. Assist technicians in the field as assigned. Clean facility and trucks as assigned. Close facility - move trucks in, doors closed.
