Summary: Sort and tear down material from incoming shipments to determine final disposition. Requirements: Successful completion of Background Investigation to include but not limited to Social Security Trace/Validation; Criminal Felony & Misdemeanor Search (all counties of residence),Statewide Criminal Search (all states of residence) and Employment Verification for the past 7 years; Drug Testing; Subsequent random Background Investigation and Drug Testing Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Although this may be your primary duty or function, you are expected to be cross-trained in other areas of the business and assist in those areas on an as-needed basis. • Sort material  Use hand and air tools to demanufacture material  Separate according to material type (plastics, metals, commodity type, sellable material)  Removal of all asset tags  Meet daily quotas • Demonstrate continuous effort to  Improve operations  Decrease turnaround times  Streamline work processes  Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service • Follow procedures and exercise independent judgment in maintaining the routine flow of work • Understand Technology Conservation Group, Inc.’s QEHS processes and procedures • Compliance with all company security policies and procedures • Cross train in other areas as needed • Occasional mandatory overtime Physical Demands • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms • Frequent use of hand and air tools to dismantle electronics which require frequent use of hands, wrists, elbows upper arm and shoulders. • Ability to work in hot/humid climates • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently • Must be able to push/pull 1000 pounds using a pallet jack • Must use and /or wear required safety equipment at all times • Able to hear, see, talk  Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information  Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus  Speaking abilities to frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Ability to use floor scales and mobile scales • Ability to perform Internet search • Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals classification • Knowledge of commodities separation and classification • Ability to identify focus materials (batteries-all types, mercury containing items, circuit boards, PCB containing materials, printer cartridges and ink jets) • Ability to identify hazardous materials such as but not limited to pressure containing devices, liquids, chemicals and other non-conforming materials • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language Disclaimer • The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job. • Management may, at its discretion, assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. • The duties and responsibilities in this job description may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
