Seeking temporary Part-Time Recreation Assistants that could expand into permanent part-time or full time positions for the right candidates (or use this job as a stepping stone to learn about other Dekalb County Job opportunities!) Join the team at Little Creek Horse Farm Park that takes pride in ensuring horses are well-cared for and keeping the park facilities are in good order to serve the local community. If you know horses, great! If not, you will be provided on the job learning opportunities. Either way, it’s a great chance to work for Dekalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs! The Dirt: This is a labor of love environment, horses take hard work to clean stalls, feed and turn out and bring in horses in all kinds of weather, 365 days at year. The Need: Physically Strong (walking, lifting, leading 1000 lb. animals), dedicated, caring and committed to animal care, a love to learn and grow your skill-sets daily. The Extras: If you have additional skills such as handyman, fence building, tractor driving, computer admin skills, special projects abound to balance out the daily tasks. The Joy: It’s awesome to develop relationships with these magnificent horses and each day can truly be a learning opportunity for the folks that want to learn.
