SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — If you're looking to do more than sit on the beach this weekend, Casino Pier will have more activities available, after Gov. Phil Murphy said miniature golf and go-kart rides could resume operation in the coronaviris outbreak. The two activities were among those permitted to reopen as the state continues to relax restrictions that have been in place since mid-March amid efforts to slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. While boardwalk games are allowed resume, the rides and arcade at Casino Pier remain closed. But Smuggler's Quay golf and the go-karts will be open starting at noon. There will be social distancing and other measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Among those measures: Golfers will be required to wear face masks when guests are playing near each other.Guests will be required to wear a face mask in the sales booth when entering and exiting.Golf clubs will be placed in a bin at the end of play to be disinfected, as well as all golf balls.Golf pencils will be discarded after use.Go-kart riders will be required to wear face masks If a family or a group that arrived together are the only ones riding together, you are permitted to remove your mask.
