We’re a fun, laid back, funky, groovy kinda band looking for a like minded drummer. Into all kinds of music ranging from funk to soul to blues to reggae to rock to jam (and a lot of things in between). Our goal is pretty simple – to make tasty grooves for all to enjoy. Looking for someone who can create and rehearse around once a week and eventually gig maybe 2-3 times a month. Preferred qualifications: - Fun, laid back, cool, chill vibe - On-point rhythmic drummer skillz - Enjoys spending copious time luxuriating in “the pocket” - Doesn’t need to always show off said skillz, but rather knows that sometimes less is more - Has own transportation - Reliable About us: - We're a guitar and bass player in our mid 40's and have been playing music together for about 10 years - We also sing and play percussion and keyboards (and whatever other instruments we feel like picking up) when opportunities arise - We like to create funky groovin music without over-complicating things - While we think it's important to be compensated for our artistic contributions and expressions, we're not really "in it for the money" - We have an awesome practice space close to the Hilo Bayfront with a full PA system, drum set, and everything else ready to go If you're serious about meeting and playing some music, please send us an email with some details about yourself and what you're passionate about.
