HOPE. HEALING. CONNECTION. A memory walk for those lost to overdose. The first annual Caroline County Memory Walk - "Loss by Overdose" - will take place May 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Farming 4 Hunger on Rt. 328 just outside Denton. The event will honor and remember loved ones lost to overdose and promote hope and healing for those who suffer with loss. The event will include a guest speaker, sunflower seed planting, and a serene walk of remembrance. Photos of those lost to overdose will be displayed throughout the walk. At the conclusion of the walk, the photos will be added to a designated Memory Wall. Various organizations will be on site with information about substance use prevention and recovery, as well as grief management. All are welcome. Even if you have not suffered a loss to overdose, you are invited to join the walk to show support for those who have, and to learn about local prevention and recovery resources.
