Booked for the evening is the Library’s signature fundraising event: June 1, 2022, Honoring Shonda Rhimes On this occasion, the Library honors an individual whose work reflects the purpose of the Library—to nurture the love of learning and to enhance our understanding of the world. June 1, the Westport Library will honor Shonda Rhimes, television producer, screenwriter, and author. Shonda Rhimes is CEO of the global media company Shondaland. With a focus on innovation, Rhimes’ company approaches storytelling through brand partnerships, merchandise, and content for film, streaming, audio, digital and editorial. In her career, Rhimes’ work has been celebrated with numerous awards including induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame. She has shifted the entertainment industry’s business model and changed the face of television. While the in-person portion of this exciting event has sold out, BOOKED for the evening is now available to live stream!
