Experienced drummer looking for established band

*BEFORE YOU CONTINUE READING: if you and your band mates are not of ages 20-26, need not reply* Hello all. My name is Antonio, I’m 24 years old and am a drummer from Queens looking for an established band in the Queens/Brooklyn and potentially Nassau county areas. When I mean established, I don’t necesarilly mean you already have a fan base/are well into playing shows (although that would be ideal), but rather you are an already formed band that just needs a drummer. However, I am not interested in joining a band where there is any slouches in the line-up. Music should be everybody’s priority and passion. Nobody in the band should still be understanding how to use guitar pedals, for example. And everybody should have at least the concept of needing to have a decent business mindset as well as a solid musical foundation. Just showing up to practice is not enough to make it in this industry. I understand jobs, school, family and all that, but none of those should be excuses when it comes to fulfilling your passion as a musician and ultimately wanting to be a successful one. With all that being said, here’s a little about me: I have plenty of experience playing in bands, and am a quick learner. I have experience in the studio and on the stage. I have great equipment, a great work ethic, and most importantly, MUSIC IS MY PASSION. It is what I want to do with my life. I have a wide-array of influences, but ultimately it comes down to rock and metal. However, I’m not just trying to be a basic rock or basic metal band. I am up for being experimental. I’d say the sound I’m kind of looking for is in the shoegaze realm - think “in blur” by deafheaven. A nice eclectic mix of rock and metal subgenres.
