Shade Wrapping Crafternoon Workshop with Kristin Hott
Inspired by the centuries old craft traditions of the Huichol Tepehuan people and more recent "Bon Bon" lampshade designs of Ana Kraš, participants will wrap the wire frame of a chandelier sconce, creating a shade weaving color combinations that most reflect their inner light.
A meditative and personalized practice, wrapping in a repetitive, circular motion mimics the rhythm of time gently passing...a tension releasing practice that slowly reveals its beauty.
Create an accent lampshade, tabletop bowl or transform it into a one-of-a-kind fascinator!
Ages 13+
All materials provided, including wire shade, tools, and a generous array of yarn styles and colors for every eye.
