On Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, the Mashpee Chamber will hold our first in-person Annual Meeting & Cocktail Party since 2019. This year, as part of our awards program, we will be presenting two categories for recognition. The first is our annual "Citizen of the Year" award, where we recognize a Mashpee businessperson who went above and beyond this past year in making a lasting impact on the community. The second is a new category -- a thank-you to those that all of us have counted on these past two years during the pandemic. With the "Mashpee Unsung Heroes" awards, we would like to honor and recognize individuals who are considered "essential" and work to take care of the public's needs. Essential businesses/industries/professions include, but are not limited to, the following: retail (e.g. grocery stores, drugstores); pharmacies; banks; healthcare; first responders; trades (e.g. plumbing, auto repair); education; nonprofits; and social services.
