Description

North Indian classical music performed on a variety of non-Indian instruments in contexts ranging from traditional to modern. I've been studying Indian classical music for a while, but only play it on non-Indian instruments (such as string bass, guzheng, mandolin, and others) and often in non-Indian contexts (like Frippish soundscape-loops, or w/ western style drum set). For this show I hope to have tabla and tanpura, making it more "authentic", but lot can happen between now and then. It will assuredly be an adventure. The venue only holds 14 people, so if you want to reserve a spot, you'll want to get your tickets early.
