Learn to set and print your own poster Do you have an idea for a poster the world just has to see? Do you want to make someone a one-of-a-kind gift? Do you have a favorite quote you would like to turn into a unique piece of art? Book Arts Collaborative has the opportunity for you. With the help of our partners at Tribune Showprint, we are offering a beginner-level letterpress workshop on April 20th, from 6-9 pm. In this 3 hour workshop, attendees will design, set, and print their one-of-a-kind poster on historic presses. In this workshop, attendees will learn a little about type and the history of printing. Attendees will leave this workshop with two prints of their poster. We encourage attendees to have a few simple and flexible ideas in mind when they come to the shop. Due to time constraints, poster designs should have a maximum of 10-15 words.
