Learn how to take leftover scraps and turn them into something new and reusable
This hands-on paper making workshop introduces crafters to the DIY world of paper making without the prohibitively expensive materials and inaccessible facilities. Using locally scavenged materials, recycled papers, and herbal marc to reduce landfill waste, crafters will make their own paper to take home and be used for writing, drawing, painting, letterpress, as greeting cards and wedding invitations, or as seed-starters. In a fun-spirited makerspace, Sheila will lead crafters through creating their own paper and offer techniques for DIY paper making at home.
Support for materials has been generously provided by the Contemporary Irish Arts Center of Los Angeles.
