Inspired by the museum pieces, we will use a variety of media to create art, poems, stories, word art, collage, journal writing, and more! Join us as we explore and transmute art into words. Capitalizing on museum pieces for inspiration, we will use a variety of media to create art, poems, stories, word art, collage, journal writing, and more! July 12-15: Students completing 5th, 6th, or 7th grade. The R.W. Norton Art Gallery will be offering two week-long Scribes and Scribbles camps this summer for students who have completed 3rd, 4th, or 5th grades (Session 1), and 5th, 6th, or 7th grades (Session 2). July 12 - 15 Times: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Location: 4747 Creswell Ave. Shreveport, LA 71106 Fee: $20 Attending campers will need to be dropped off with our camp staff in front of the museum no later than 7:50 am. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from camp each day. Each student will be provided with a snack. Students wishing to attend a camp need to have a parent purchase a ticket through Eventbrite. Once you have purchased your ticket, you will receive an email confirmation from the Norton Education Department with an application attached. Please complete the application and return it to the R.W. Norton Art Gallery via email or US Postal Service before the first day of your child’s camp. R.W.
