Description

The Character Club is a free after-school program for 9-12 year-old children that encourages great character development. The Character Club program uses stories, art, music and games to introduce and practice qualities like honesty, compassion, and teamwork. Through fun and games, the Character Club program offers an opportunity for children to deepen and recognize the qualities inherent in themselves and to discover the universal gifts of character that lie within. Values such as compassion, teamwork, trustworthiness, and understanding are explored, defined and practiced in a fun, creative and organized atmosphere, which will help them to live their best lives ever. In addition, lessons and activities on race unity are incorporated into the program. Parents are welcome to attend and observe with their child. Class Topics: Class 1 - Intro, Unity, and all the virtues Class 2 - Teamwork Class 3 - Tact & Assertiveness Class 4 - HonorClass 5 - Understanding & CompassionClass 6 - Courage Class 7 - TrustworthinessClass 8 - UnderstandingClass 9 - PurposeClass 10 - UnityDates: Wednesdays, March 16 to May 25 (except April 13), 4-5:30 pm Location: This free after school program is offered through GlobalMarketplace.org, an educational nonprofit. Classes are held at the library at Spring View Middle School, located at 5040 5th Street Rocklin, CA 95677. This program runs on Wednesdays, March 16 to May 25, 2022.  Students are encouraged to attend all classes since later classes build on earlier ones.  Please sign up for the first date and we hope you can join us for all.
