OPEN CALL: Intramural Theater is seeking a Black actress between the ages of 45-70 to play the major supporting role of Clytemnestra in the world premiere of "The Cuck" by Austin-based playwright Sam Mayer. Rehearsals will start in mid-May and performances will run at a site-specific outdoor venue in the Bywater for three weekends in June. This is a non-AEA position. All experience levels welcome! ABOUT THE PLAY: "The Cuck" is a modern re-telling of Sophocles’s Electra, in which Electra and her brother Orestes, deprived of their birthright to the Argos throne, plot out revenge against their mother, Clytemnestra, and step-father, Aegisthus, to claim what’s rightfully theirs. COMPENSATION: All designers and performers receive an equal cut of ticket revenue after the venue receives its cut. For our last piece, we were able to pay all collaborators a bit over $400 -- our aim is to pay this amount again. Rehearsal commitment will be 3-12 hours per week, with a tech week of 15 hours.
