Hi, I'm Laney (sociability with dogs unknown…would need to keep separate initially, with a SLOW introduction to dog in home.). I’m set to be euthanized April 19th, 8 am. Why am I E-listed? STRESS!! I’ve been here since 1/25/22, and now I’m suffering from my kennel confinement (we barely get walked!). It is inhumane to keep me here any longer!! Can you save my life? Watch me in videos! I’m a 2-year-old, spayed, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier Mix (47 lbs.). I came into the shelter as a stray. Volunteers say that I’m super affectionate, lean in for pets, and LOVE to give you hugs and licks! I will even lay in your lap if you let me! I know “sit” and take treats very gently. I am not consistent walking on-leash…sometimes pulling, sometimes walking well. When excited to see my shelter friends, I can be a bit jumpy. I’ve been living too long at this noisy, chaotic place, and I’m frustrated and going bonkers! It's sad. I need out ASAP!! I need an experienced adopter, in-home training to work on leash skills, a family introduction, and that children in the home be older. If you adopt me, I will need time to decompress and will also need plenty of physical and mental activity. I can't imagine this is how it could end for me. I don’t want to die! Will you save my life?
