Description: The seeds of the Second World War were sown by the First. We will review the root causes of our "first" Civil War (actually we have already had several -- some even before the Revolutionary War which was also a Civil War) and how our system of government failed to keep the Civil War from happening. Our presentation/discussion will examine weaknesses in our democracy that remain in place and how the War’s outcome set up some of today’s most divisive issues -- along with other divisions that have lots of angry people with guns on opposite sides.
