PLEASE NOTE: This position is open only to individuals who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status is required. I am a woman with a disability (wheelchair user) who is seeking reliable, efficient, and personable caretakers to assist me in my home with personal care, including dressing, light cleaning, and cooking. I am a very independent person and have a full and busy life. Having assistance from my caretakers is essential to maintaining my independence. No prior experience with attendant care necessary. On-the-job training is provided. This is a part-time job to supplement other employment/school/life responsibilities. All shifts are 1 hour. I do not necessarily expect one person to fill all available shifts. Many of my shifts have flexible start times to work with your schedule. Private pay ***CASH*** $17.00 per hour. Available Shifts (all shifts are 1 hour): Weekday Mornings Monday through Friday 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM (I can be somewhat flexible with start time) Weekday Evenings Monday through Friday 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM (I can be flexible with start time) Weekday Nights Monday through Friday 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM Weekend Mornings Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Weekend Evenings Saturday & Sunday 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (I can be flexible with start time) Weekend Nights Saturday & Sunday 10:30 PM - 11:30 PM (I can be flexible with start time) Starting date: ASAP Location: South Berkeley; near public transit; ample (free) street parking; secure off-street bike parking, quiet and friendly neighborhood Requirements -Women only -Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (proof required) -Prompt, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, and patient -Great sense of humor -Ability to communicate and take verbal instructions in English -Physically fit - will need assistance transferring to/from wheelchair -Able to provide references -Willing to substitute other shifts on occasion -Live in the East Bay -Commitment of 6 mos. - 1 year minimum To apply, please fill out a brief application form here: I will call qualified candidates within 24 hours to arrange an interview.
