Description
The Commercial Furniture Installer (Technician) performs efficient moves, installation and assembly of office furniture within clients’ facilities, including systems furniture, case goods, accessories, wall-hung units, etc. Responsible for timely completion of the work with a high-level of workmanship and a high degree of customer satisfaction. REQUIREMENTS - US Authorized Worker (E-Verify compliant) - Background Check - High School Diploma or equivalent QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience - Reliable transportation - Attention to detail - Knowledge and use of power and hand tools - Excellent communication skills - Reliable individual with a strong work ethic - Self-starter - Critical thinker - Neat, professional appearance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds - Climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push / pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time RESPONSIBILITIES - Proficient with installation procedures and sequence: loading, unloading, staging, trash removal, panel assembly, lock installation, electrical components, cleanup, and detailing - Repair furniture and make mechanical adjustments (drawers, slides, lock mechanisms, leveling) - Moving furniture (and other client items) from one location to another and placing furniture in the correct, requested position in the new location - Ability to plan the most efficient way to pack items into a moving truck, wrapping furniture in protective material ensuring no damage is done during transportation and taking inventory for any loss prevention - Accurate and timely completion of tasks with a high level of quality and workmanship and a high regard for customer satisfaction and professionalism - Ability to perform accurate counts and read blueprints necessary to complete projects - Clean and fine-tune furniture upon completion of install - Capable of reacting to varying project field conditions and able to make decisions to solve problems and changes in scope of work - May operate or drive vehicles such as forklift, trucks, golf carts, gators, etc. - Efficiently work in a team with other installers, as well as independently - Work site locations will vary
