Man Robs East Harlem Deli At Gunpoint, Police Say

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man held up an East Harlem deli cashier at gunpoint and made off with cash, according to police, who asked for help identifying the suspect. Just before 5 a.m. on March 19, the man walked into the deli on the corner of Second Avenue and East 108th Street. He then took out a gun and robbed the store clerk of $1,500, according to police. The suspect left the store and walked east along East 108th Street, police said. No one was injured. Police on Monday released images of the suspect and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
