GENERAL SUMMARY Under the direction of the Janitorial supervisor, this Job is responsible for performing janitorial duties for Sound’s office and residential locations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES - Basic and deep cleaning including but not limited to: - Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, sanitizing all areas of Sound locations. - Emptying all trash cans and replacing liners - Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. - Cleaning windowsills and windows. - Maintaining janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner. - Maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. - Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times. - Adhering to OSHA standards in relation to the proper use of chemicals and equipment involved in the day-to-day completion of custodial cleaning tasks. - Completing other routine maintenance duties as assigned. KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS Establishes and maintains positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with the Facilities team, Sound management and team members, clients, tenants, architects, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and other professionals. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - A minimum of high school diploma or its equivalent. - A minimum of two years working experience in a custodial service based Job with experience in custodial cleaning practices. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - High attention to detail - Ability and willingness to learn - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to follow oral and written instructions. - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. - Ability to work independently and within a team. - Basic knowledge of cleaning products. - Ability to read, demonstrate the ability to communicate with team members in basic English. - Ability to perform basic math.
