MILFORD, CT — Milford Public Schools will offer students and staff members a free COVID-19 rapid antigen test after a local uptick in cases. Test kits will be handed out Thursday, April 14 for students and staff who want them. Each kit contains two tests. School officials recommend that students and staff take a test on the morning of April 25, which is the return from spring break. Here is how the kits will be handed out, according to a letter sent to school families: High Schools: Test kits will be offered directly to all students and staff members during the school day on Thursday, 4/14. Middle and Elementary Schools: Staff members will be able to pick up a test kit during the school day on Thursday, 4/14. For students, test kits will be offered to all parents/guardians on behalf of their student at dismissal (for those in vehicles waiting for their student and for walker pickups). After-School Hours: Free test kits will continue to be available at the front entrances of Jonathan Law High School and Joseph A. Foran High School on Thursday, 4/14 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. This will be a drive-thru pickup. Directional signage and staff will be available to assist you upon arrival. If you are not able to pick up a test kit during the above times, you can visit your child's school during the school day on Thursday, April 14th and a test kit will be provided to you at the front doors. This cannot be done during arrival or dimissal times.
