ARLINGTON, VA — A woman opened her fanny pack to reveal a firearm as she stole a cell phone and money from a man last Friday inside a residential building in Rosslyn, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
At about 3:45 a.m. on April 8, police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 18th Street N., behind the 7-Eleven on Wilson Boulevard. The police learned that the victim was approached by an unknown woman.
The suspect then grabbed at the victim and stole his cell phone. When the victim attempted to take back the phone, the suspect verbally threatened the man and opened her fanny pack to show that she had a gun.
The suspect then stole money before returning the victim's cell phone and then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a Black female, wearing a black headscarf, black jacket, burgundy fanny pack, gray pants and black sneakers.
