Construction –Renovation Crew Apex Contracting Pay Range –$16 -$20 per hr.40 -50 hrs. per week Qualifications -Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a laborer, foreperson or similar role. -Considerable knowledge of construction industry. -Experience in flooring installation, tile installation, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, fixture installation, landscaping, roofing, and/or remodeling is highly preferred. -Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, lifts or other equipment w/ a commitment to our safety standards. -Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt. -Display basic computer and mobile use skills. -Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions. -Uphold ApexCore values of integrity, leadership, passion and excellence at all times. -Embraces our core company values and responsibilities, ultimately being a dependable and trustworthy team member. Responsibilities -Daily tasks including flooring installation, tile installation, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, fixture installation, landscaping, roofing, and/or remodeling depending on skill level and qualifications Coordinates with other team members and helps them be successful and safe in their jobs. -Coordinates with other trade contractors throughout each project. -Arrives at work by 8 am daily M-F and stays until workday is complete (typically 5pm). -Communicates well with team and others. -Responds to emails and texts within reasonable time-frame. -Attends Weekly meetings, reports on their job sites, asks for what they need from the team. -Always sets expectations they can meet. -Set’s and maintains expectations of quality and timeliness. -Responsible for the job-site management of all our remodeling projects. -Consistently offers help and immediately jumps in when he can help. -Does everything in his power to help create a defect free project, on time and in budget. -Locates all shutoffs for home prior to starting demo and construction. -Make sure necessary tools for shut offs are immediately available. -Helps Foremen with material management by picking up necessary supplies, and keeping the material accessible, protected, and organized onsite. -Coordinates with foreman regarding necessary tools needed for various project and uses with tools and equipment on each job in accordance with Apex’s safety standards. -Keeps them safe, clean and in good working order. -Help Foreman ensure team members are doing quality work and being efficient. -During winter months helps clear snow and ice and makes job-sites as productive and safe as possible. -Rotates with other members of the team to promote Saturday construction activities (typically half day). -Interacts with homeowners, clients and subcontractors on limited basis but always works to satisfy them.
