MERRIMACK, NH — Voters in Merrimack went to the polls on Tuesday in the town's annual election. Here are the results. Town Races Town Councilor, two 3-year seats Barbara Healey 1,581Andy Hunter 1,392Charles Lafond 656 Town Councilor, one 1-year seat Michael R. Drouin 795Lon Woods 1,266 Ethics Committee, two 3-year seats Write-ins (unavailable at post time) Library Trustees, one 3-year seat Debra Covell 1,631 Trustee of the Trust Funds, one 3-year seat Chris Christensen 1,396David Rutzkie 476 Moderator, one 2-year seat Lynn Christensen 1,708 Supervisor of the Checklist, one 4-year seat Miriam Gage 1,610 Supervisor of the Checklist, one 6-year seat Fran L'Heureux 1,116Tarah Noonan 876 Town Articles Article 2: $10.1 million for wastewater treatment upgrades. Approved Article 3, petition: $3 million for drainage and road repairs to the Woodland Drive area. Rejected Article 4: $36.2 million town operating budget with a default budget of $34.4 million. Approved Article 5: $1.95 million to the capital reserve-expendable trust fund for equipment and other repairs not included in the town budget. Approved Article 6: $500,000 for sewer infrastructure and capital reserve fund. Approved Article 7: Collective bargaining agreement for two years of wage increases for the Teamster Local 633 for DPW and other workers. Approved Article 8: Charter amendment to appoint two alternative members for 1-year terms to the Trustee of the Trust Funds. Article 4: A call for a special town meeting if Article 3 is defeated. Article 5: $950,000 in one-time salary adjustment to the scale for the Merrimack Teachers Association. Article 6: $1.4 million for a roof replacement project on the Thorntons Ferry Elementary School. Article 7: Retain year-end unassigned general funds of any fiscal year not to exceed 5 percent of the current fiscal year's net assessment.
