MENIFEE, CA —A fire ignited in a two-story home in Menifee Sunday. The blaze was reported at 4:07 p.m. at a single-family residence in the 30000 block of Bayport Lane, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they observed heavy flames and smoke coming from the home but managed to contain the fire. The extent of the damage to the home or whether anyone was injured or displaced was not immediately clear.
