SUMMIT, NJ — The next Summit Common Council meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Council President Marjorie Fox said in a preview that Nicole DiRado, the elections administrator at the Union County Board of Elections, will give a presentation about the vote-by-mail process and answer questions from Common Council and members of the public. There are also matters on the agenda to allow sidewalk cafes year round, and to approve a settlement that allows Habitat for Humanity to move forward with building 12 affordable housing units. The agenda is here. The access codes for the Zoom platform and instructions for public comment are posted here. Comments will be accepted by email or by mail to [email protected]. Comments must be received by noon on Tuesday. Every Common Council meeting is broadcast live on HTTV Verizon channel 30 and Comcast channel 36 and 34.
