Hello, I am the local (live in Los Osos) coordinator for Student Management Group (SMG) which manages high school foreign exchange students. San Luis Coastal has approved eight students for the 2022-2023 school year. Four of them will be attending SLO High and four will be going to Morro Bay High School. I have seven to find homes for in the next month. Please look at the attached short bios to learn a bit more about these amazing students. Hosting a young international high school student in your home is a remarkable experience. Not only can you expose your family, school, and community to another culture, language, and tradition, but you'll be fulfilling a dream for a young student--one who is smart, adventurous, and purposeful in their intentions to experience life in America. Becoming the world leader in international education and exchange, SMG is looking for families to host students in Morro Bay, Los Osos, and SLO for the school year beginning in August. All types of host families are accepted--those with kids or no kids, empty nesters, retirees, single people, and members of the LBGTQ+ community. You just need to provide: - An accepting family environment - A warm bed to sleep in and a productive place to study - Three meals a day - Help coordinate transportation A $1000 monthly stipend per student hosted is provided to help offset the costs of hosting your student. It is possible for families to host up to two exchange at once as long as they do not come from the same country.
