The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop is excited to announce its annual Holiday Boutique in its newly revamped "Holiday Experience" between now and the holidays. Due to COVID-19, the Holiday Experience will be held throughout the month of November and December on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm. In addition, there will be several FaceBook Live events including a Black Friday FB Live Marathon, which will have 4 shows, back to back where we will be showcasing clothing, giftware, housewares and handbags/jewelry. The highly anticipated event features a wide selection of brand new toys, as well as new and gently used men's, women's, and children's holiday-themed clothing, holiday items and seasonal decorations. "We have a wide range of gifts and holiday decorations available this year for the community. Each day we will offer newly refreshed items to make every day of the event special with unique items," says Thrift Shop Manager Marie Avagliano. The Thrift Shop staff and Junior League volunteers prepare for our Holiday Experience for months and appreciate the community support and involvement in this wonderful event. "We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the shop in a festive, but safe way." says Shop VP, Caitlin Crimmins. We ask that in order to keep everyone safe, customers follow the rules, below, when entering the store. Please Note the Following Shopper Guidelines: face masks required social distancing required fitting rooms closed no children under 10 and must stay with adult Please bring your own bag cash is accepted, credit cards are preferred 8 customers will be allowed in the store at one time. If the door is locked, we have reached capacity. To help prevent lines, please be mindful of how much time you spend in the store. Lastly, if you aren't feeling well or have traveled to a hot spot recently, please visit us on another day. "We are thrilled to continue to offer our Holiday Experience in a revamped fashion in light of COVID. The Thrift Shop has offered innovative approaches throughout the pandemic to ensure we are able to continue to serve our community," says Junior League of Summit President Tara Charvat. The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop in Summit was established in 1934 and offers new and gently used clothing and shoes for men, women and children, toys, decorative items for the home, housewares, and furniture that is deeply discounted. It is the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Summit and has provided the resources for the League's many grants, projects, programs, and scholarships over the years. Since its inception, the Shop has raised over $3,000,000 to benefit Summit and surrounding communities. The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
