Started Blizzard at Sea in 2010 in Iowa City. We released 4 albums. Over time life called to the other members. Now looking to restart this project. Need a drummer and bassist. Music can be found here: blizzardatsea dot bandcamp dot com. I'm now looking for an accomplished SAX player & bass player, possibly percussion as well to recreate this band. I have two REAL vintage 1946 & 1953 Hammond B3's + Leslies (one in Wilder, one in Eagle), and a Nord Stage 3 AND I have the chops to pull it off (once I dust them off!). Each rehearsal spot has a professional drum kit, Mesa boogie bass rig and pro sound system. And a singing drummer and guitar player who are both very accomplished. I'm simply looking to create a jam situation for now w/ *possible* gigs or parties with highly functioning players who know how to play FUNK. The older you are the better (I'm 57), but I know some of you young bucks can bring the funk as well and have stellar jazz chops. Just don't bring drama/drugs.Looking for musicians for a jazz jam once a week play standards, improvise Swing, bop, modal, funk...
